On March 7, 2025, David Bowie's ninth studio album "Young Americans" celebrates its 50th anniversary and will be released as a limited edition half-speed master vinyl. The album included Bowie's first US number 1 single "Fame" and sold millions of copies worldwide.
This new pressing of "Young Americans" was cut at 192 kHz from restored original master tapes at the Record Plant on a custom-built late Neumann VMS80 turntable with fully refurbished electronics, with no additional processing on transfer. The half-speed master version was cut by John Webber at AIR Studios.
