Grinderman, the side project of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Warren Ellis, Jim Sclavunos and Martyn Casey, received an enthusiastic reception for its eponymous debut in 2007. The quartet reunited in 2009 to record "Grinderman 2". It explores more psychedelic realms than its predecessor and is a looser and more experimental album. With their raw, bluesy, garage rock infused with these diverse influences, this is a hallucinatory and sonically solid album. "Grinderman 2" includes the singles "Heathen Child" and "Worm Tamer". With their second and final album, Cave announced the band's dissolution at a music festival in Australia in December 2011
